Yadira Capaz is a research-based artist bridging wellness with climate action. She is currently curating community engagement opportunities through The Impact Plug, and produces workshops and retreats on Leadership, Creativity, and Human Connection.

Yadira is building a body of work focused on environmental art and social practice to catalyze the power of community activism. She weaves together her explorations in art therapy, herbalism, the performing arts, somatic healing, earth-rooted facilitation, conscious play, design thinking, and much more to create intricate transformative experiences that function as modern-day rites of passage for her community.

Yadira was born in Havana, Cuba and is based out of Miami, Florida, United States. Her strong roots in African and Indigenous wisdom ground her methodology in a decolonial and ecofeminist framework. Maintaining a strong intellectual life is a key part of who she is and she grows what she shares in a rich cultural and political context that inspires integrity and playfulness in our role in shaping history.
